As a Brooklyn born Jew, i'm always on the lookout for a good pastrami sandwich. When I moved to Northern New Jersey, I was hoping I wouldn't have to travel back into Manhattan to get my fix. Thankfully, I don't have to because I stumbled on this place. Probably not much more to say that hasn't been said already, but if you're looking for a good, authentic pastrami on rye. this place is great.

Hands down!!!...... THE BEST PASTRAMI IN THE BUSINESS!!!! I can end the review there. Lol But I will also add I have tatsed Kats and 2nd st deli in the city. And in my opinion it is better than both. So tender and juicy. Dosent taste as salty as the others either which I enjoy. It gets kinda busy so be prepared to wait in line for a bit before you order. But it's so worth the wait. U will thank me later if u haven't tried this gem.

Excellent service, excellent food, very fair price. I say better than Katz deli. The Pastrami, Corn Beef and the Beef brisket are awesomely good and tender.

No need to head to NYC for an incredible pastrami sandwich--Pastrami Grill Bistro delivers the experience right here! This gem of a restaurant is absolutely fantastic. While the space is cozy and can get crowded during peak times, it's well worth the wait. You order at the counter, and the exceptionally friendly staff keeps things lively by offering free samples while you wait. The sandwiches are massive, fresh, and bursting with flavor--big enough to easily satisfy two people. Their knish is perfection, tasting like it's straight out of Coney Island. The French fries and pickles were spot on as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Pastrami Grill Bistro and can't wait to go back to explore more of their amazing sandwiches!

Pastrami Grill Bistro in Garfield, NJ is that sort of place that you ask yourself "why haven't I been here sooner" and "where has this place been all my life". The pastrami sandwich was off the hook delicious. The meat was lean, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I opted for the classic pastrami sandwich with mustard as Thurs was my first time (and not my last time) there. I also appreciated the free sample of meat and the plate of pickles that come with each meal. Also - why I'm at it - I washed everything down with Clark's Pumpkin Spice Soda. My friend and both agreed that the employees were supper nice and seemed to live their job. There was plenty of parking outside as it's attached to a strip mall. Yum!!! I kept hearing a lot about how good this place is. So I took the drive down route 46 and then off on a side road. I got there on Saturday afternoon around 1230. It wasn't too busy yet. I was able to walk right up to the counter. You have the cutters behind the counter. Just like in KATZ. You tell them what you want, and they'll slice a few slices of pastrami for you to try or you can request corned beef or both I got the pastrami sandwich and french fries. They asked if you want it with the mustard or not while they were assembling the delectable sandwich. I brought my steaming hot pastrami sandwich and golden steak fries over to a table. As I sat down, a rush of people came in, and the line was very long. I saw there was nice bark on the pastrami. It looked very good. I grabbed the piece out of the sandwich and just tried it Solo Dolo. It had a great flavor, smoky and juicy. Definitely very flavorful with a smoky tang. Definitely had a good amount of fat on it. Very good rye bread. It was big enough to cover the meat in the sandwich. The french fries had a nice outer skin. A little crispy. Fluffy potato on the inside very fresh and delicious. Dr. Brown's cream soda really hit the spot. I didn't order matzoh ball soup this time. I finished up the sandwich and all of the french fries. I probably wouldn't of had room for the soup. Everything came to $25 with the soup. It would've only been $30. If you go to KATZ. The pastrami sandwich alone would be $30. Then if you added on french fries and soup à la carte and the soda would be at about 60 bucks. So it's half price here in Garfield, New Jersey. It's a big saving that to have to drag all the way into the city. I definitely say this pastrami is in my top three Nice bark . Flavorful tangy with a good amount of fat. Next time I'll go back and try the brisket sandwich with matzo ball soup. With latkes.

Food is always amazing. Service is quick and friendly, along with the ambiance and environment. Even though, the prices can be a little pricey, but worth it for the quality of meats and variety of dishes. Meats are well seasoned, juicy and extremely tender. One of my favorite spots, especially when you can't get to Katz Deli in NYC. Super close second!!!

Great service!!! Love the taste sample while you get your sandwich. Was looking for a deli pastrami sandwich place. This popped up on yelp in the search reviews looked good. So glad I cacame. Ordered the biggest and probably best pastrami Ruben I've ever had. This beast is so good I made it thru the whole thing. Must admit that I did break down and use a fork for some of the second half since I was not able to squeeze it down to mouth sized. Side of pickes were really good I'm not a pickle fan but loved the bright green ones. Added some pierogies because they looked good and they were. Stop in you'll be glad you did!

Amazing sandwiches! Can't believe this spot is so close by - saving me a fortune avoiding the trip over the bridge or tunnel to Katz's. This hard working talented crew has near-perfected the delicious chunks of corned beef, pastrami, brisket and accompaniments! Even the attitude somewhat - bustling and yelling "next!" sort of gives you that Katz's vibe a bit. Hope this place is around for years to come! Only ding is that the place is small for eating in. Doesn't stop the line from reaching out the door during lunch hours though so congrats !
